Climate Beginner – free carbon footprint estimation plan
According to the SME Climate Hub, 60 percent of small and medium-sized business owners don’t know how to start on their path to climate neutrality. They don’t have the knowledge, money, or time to take care of their company’s carbon footprint.
We meet these needs by giving away the Climate Beginner plan (prepared following the GHG Protocol methodology) – a way to see how simple it can be to count the carbon footprint generated by an organization. It is a free tool for calculating a company’s carbon footprint. You invest nothing but your time, complete your company’s data on your own, and then learn a range of greenhouse gas emission values. The Climate Beginner plan is free.

How exactly does it work?
Wanting to use the free plan to estimate your carbon footprint, complete the form on the Plan Be Eco website and wait for an email with login instructions (this can take up to 24 hours). Once you receive the email, please change your password, log into our platform, and explore! Fill in your company details to start, then follow the instructions.
How long will I have access to the free plan?
Access to the free plan is unlimited. After one year, we will ask you to update your data to continue using the Plan Be Eco for free.
Can I use the software on my phone?
No, all of the company’s emissions management software is desktop only. We recommend logging in on a computer; it will at least make importing data from a file easier and more convenient for the user.
Is it possible to know the exact value of the carbon footprint?
With the Climate Beginner plan, you can only estimate the carbon footprint. To know the exact amount of greenhouse gas emissions (to the nearest 1 ton of CO2e), an upgrade to one of the higher-paid plans offered by Plan Be Eco for counting the carbon footprint is required.
Can I upgrade my plan at any time?
You can upgrade your free access to one of the higher-paid plans anytime. Once you pay the fee, access under your chosen plan will be valid for one year.
What will be the benefit of knowing my company's carbon footprint?
Learning about your organization’s carbon footprint is a step that, while it may seem small, carries excellent value for the organization itself and for protecting the environment. It can initiate a series of ESG actions – and only by introducing sustainability strategies into companies can we stop global warming.
Even an estimated value will give you an idea of whether or not your organization’s carbon emissions are high. In addition, a simple and intuitive data completion module will allow you to see the necessary documentation. In the future, when carbon footprint reporting is mandatory, it will make collecting the required data easier.
